Sci Fi Example Blog Post

Name and Author of Fantasy Book:
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

Three Fantasy Elements:
Book is set in the Earth's future
Book contains alien creatures that Ender must defeat
Book is set on a spaceship

Sci Fi Element I Would Add:
I would add another separate space command school of students who are also training to keep earth safe.  The command school develops and utilizes different scientific techniques to defeat the alien threat that Earth is facing.  The command school would have to go up against Ender's command school in order to determine which school would ultimately battle to keep Earth safe (since they don't share the same strategy or visions for how to do this).   Ender would befriend a student in the other command school and ultimately team up with him to defeat Earth's alien threat.

Fantasy Example Blog Post

Name and Author of Fantasy Book:
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling.

Three Fantasy Elements:
Professor Lupin is a werewolf
Harry Potter learns magic, (e.g. the Patronus Charm)
Harry goes to school in a magical school--Hogwarts

Fantasy Element I Would Add:
I would add another fantasy creature, such as a minotaur called Professor Tauroble, who like Professor Lupin, had the ability to transform into a fantasy creature during a full moon.  He would have the ability to grow to 10 times in size and possess the power of 10 bulls.  Professor Lupin and Professor Tauroble would be enemies.  While Professor Lupin despises his wolf shape, Professor Tauroble loves his minotaur shape and is seeking ways to stay in the form permanently.  Professor Tauroble is an agent of Voldemort who is working with Peter Pettigrew to try and recruit promising Slytherin students to Voldermort's cause.
